1. Parent Open Forum

No one addressed the Board during the open forum

2. Tryout Recap

Number of participants for Saturday’s tryout (8/20/11) was as follows:
14U 14
13U 11
12U 17
11U 16

Board members present agreed the inaugural tryout was a success. It was determined we will have enough evaluators (4) and volunteers for Sunday’s tryouts (1-3pm and 3:30-5:30pm)
It is desired that the fields will be chalked for Sunday.

3. Fundraising Ideas

Several ideas were suggested for fundraising:
Basketball tournament
Bag tournament
Slims or Old Roy’s (as was done by individual teams last year)
Coach Davis will complete the sponsor letter. The Board will compile a list of area business’s to solicit. It will be the intent of the Board to solicit each individual business only once. For a donation the business name and/or logo will appear on the Club website, banner and t-shirts.
The banner will be displayed at the ballparks anytime one of the Club teams is playing.

4. By Laws

Board members need to access the Google documents and adjust as needed to meet our specific needs and goals.

5. Others

E-mail reminder will be sent by Coach Davis to current list of parents (as was done for 1st tryout) for the 2nd tryout.
CCA Baseball Club info/link will try to be placed on the CCA school website on the main page for this Sunday’s tryout and under ‘community athletics’ permanently.
It was discussed how to get more players for the 9U & 10U teams which this year are nonaffiliated with the baseball club.
All members working the 2nd tryout agreed to bring the same equipment they brought to the first tryout.
