{"id":3614,"date":"2020-12-16T09:18:44","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T15:18:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ccabaseballclub.org\/?page_id=3614"},"modified":"2020-12-16T09:32:01","modified_gmt":"2020-12-16T15:32:01","slug":"december-14-2020","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/clippersbaseballclub.org\/?page_id=3614","title":{"rendered":"December 14, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>CLIPPERS BASEBALL CLUB BOARD MEETING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monday, December 14, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Opening: <\/strong>Clippers Baseball Club Board Meeting was held Monday, December 14, 2020 remotely at 6:00pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Board Members Present: <\/strong>Nick Pfeiffer (President), Jeremiah Herdliska (Vice President), Kelly Weber (Treasurer), Matt Carlson (Secretary), Bridgette Schares, Jamie Etscheidt, Cori Charbon, Jennifer Johnson, Julie Vance, Katie Piper<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\"><li><strong><u>Open Discussion from Membership<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>No updates.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Update on Outstanding Action Items<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>Bridgette Schares will approach Scratch Cupcakes for a cupcake fundraising sale.<ul><li>Update: Bridgette Schares scheduled the Scratch Cupcakes fundraiser for June 2021.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Kelly Weber will research the feasibility of the Clippers Baseball Club doing a frozen lasagna fundraiser.<ul><li>Update: Making this fundraiser successful will require a total commitment from the Club and will require a great deal of work. There may be logistical challenges with schools and space being unavailable that could impact participation. We may want to revisit this in Fall\/Winter 2021.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>2021 Registration and Team Updates<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>Outstanding Clipper Club teams in need of additional players:<ul><li>10U White &#8211; 11&nbsp;committed and 10 paid<\/li><li>11U White &#8211; 7 committed and 4 paid<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Logo\/Apparel\/Uniform Discussion<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>Uniform fittings will run differently this year, fittings are still targeted for January 2021.<\/li><li>The Club doesn\u2019t have uniform designs to share yet. Niki Frese left Ironside and that has put the Club a little behind schedule.<\/li><li>The Club is waiting on pricing for uniform options, but one jersey option is a 2-button shirt, the other option is V-neck shirt.<\/li><li>The Club is considering breathable hats, similar to Nike Dri-FIT hats. The Club would like to get hats in blue with the anchor logo included on it.<\/li><li>The Club expects the price to run about $28\/hat, with entire uniforms running around $25-30 more than last year.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Treasurer\u2019s Report<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>The latest monthly Clippers Baseball Club checking account statement from 11\/30 has a balance of $19,658.76.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Fundraising<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>No updates.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Sponsorships<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>No updates.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Discuss Future of 11U White<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>The Club is unsure if there will be enough players to field a team.<\/li><li>Jamie Etscheidt will reach out Scott Webb to see if they are aware of any Oxford League players who may want to play on the Clippers Club team.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Clipper Classic Update<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>The club has fields booked for the Clipper Classic 5\/1\/21 and 5\/2\/21 in North Liberty and Tiffin.<\/li><li>The club will continue to discuss pricing, field placement, and logistics over the next few months.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Decisions<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li><strong>DECISION (10\/14\/19): The CCASD, insurance dues, and mound rental fees are the top debt priorities: $500 owed to CCASD, $793.10 owed for insurance dues, and $500 owed for mound rental fees.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (10\/14\/19): There is $479 left after CCASD, insurance dues, and mound rental fees are paid.Of the remaining funds raised $100 will go to Tiffin Parks &amp; Rec, and $350 will go to North Liberty Parks &amp; Rec.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (11\/11\/19): The Clippers Club Board voted in favor of making the Clipper Classic a one-day USSSA sanctioned tournament.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (12\/9\/19): $621.72 has been raised to repay debts. The club will pay $300 to the City of North Liberty, and $300 to the City of Tiffin.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (2\/10\/20): $899.23 has been raised to repay debts. The club will pay $450 to the City of North Liberty, and $450 to the City of Tiffin.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (3\/9\/20): $705.54 has been raised to repay debts. The club will pay $610 to the City of Tiffin, and $100 (rounded up) to the City of North Liberty.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (4\/13\/20): The Clippers Baseball Club Board will split the $1,000 grant money evenly among the 6 club teams. Each team may be reimbursed up to $166.67 for equipment purchased between 1\/1\/20 \u2013 5\/31\/20.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (4\/13\/20): $187.23 has been raised to repay debts. The club will pay $180 (rounded down) to city of North Liberty.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (6\/8\/20): $674.25 has been raised to repay debts ($675 rounded up). The club will pay $500 to the Clippers Baseball Club Scholarship debt and $175 to the city of North Liberty.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (8\/17\/20): $1,056 was approved by the Board to pay towards the City of North Liberty debt. Debt paid in full.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (8\/17\/20): $285 was approved by the Board to pay towards the Clippers Club 7U 2019 debt. Debt paid in full.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (8\/17\/20): $620 was approved by the Board to pay towards the Clippers Club 8U 2019 debt.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>DECISION (8\/17\/20): $1,696 was approved by the Board to pay towards the Clippers Club 11U 2019 debt.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Outstanding Action Items<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li><strong>ACTION ITEM (9\/15\/20): Bridgette Schares will approach Scratch Cupcakes for a cupcake fundraising sale.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>ACTION ITEM (10\/12\/20): Kelly Weber will research the feasibility of the Clippers Baseball Club doing a frozen lasagna fundraiser.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><u>Adjournment<\/u>:<\/strong><ul><li>Meeting adjourned at 6:37pm.
