      • The garage sale date is scheduled for Sunday, October 18 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The club was unable to secure a suitable indoor location, so the Herdliska’s will host the garage sale at their house. If there is inclement weather the event will be postponed to a future date TBD. Donations will be accepted at Herdliska’s and Pfeiffer’s. If anyone has tables that can be used for the event, please bring them.
  • 2021 Registration and Team Updates:
    • Clipper Club teams that could use more players:
      • 7U needs 2-3
      • 9U needs 1-2
      • 11U White needs 2-3
      • 13U White only has 4 and we are working with the Liberty Club to form a combination team.
  • Fee Payment Update:
    • Kelly Weber is tracking 2021 club fee payments.
  • 2021 Field Rental Cost Update:
    • The City of Tiffin raised the field rental fees for 2021. The new rates are significantly higher than in past seasons. For example, if you were to play a game at the Tiffin ballfields from 7-9pm you can now expect that it will cost you about $75. In 2020 that would have been about $20.
    • If the Clippers Club was made aware of the rate change sooner, it is likely the Club would have raised the 2021 season annual fees. Teams and coaches need to be aware of this as they budget. The Club will concentrate fundraising efforts towards assisting teams to pay these fees.
    • The new rates are as follows:
      • $15 per hour for practices (previously $10 per hour).
      • Games are $30 plus $15 to chalk fields, and $0.50 per minute for lights ($30 per hour).
  • Logo/Apparel/Uniform Discussion:
    • Nick Pfeiffer is finalizing the Club logo.
    • It was suggested to add a baseball to the logo.
  • Fundraising:
    • $420 was raised Friday, 8/21 at the Hometown Nutrition Fundraiser.
    • Nick Pfeiffer checked with Panchero’s and they are not holding Queso for a Cause Nights due to COVID.
    • ACTION ITEM: Bridgette Schares will approach Scratch Cupcakes for a cupcake fundraising sale.
  • Sponsorships:
    • No updates.
  • Treasurer’s Report:
    • The latest monthly Clippers Baseball Club checking account statement from 8/31 has a balance of $13,274.09.
  • Outstanding Club Debts:
    • All Club debts resulting from Adam Henderson’s theft have been paid in full. It is a coincidence that this occurred during the same month of his sentencing.
    • The Club Board should be very proud to have raised these funds while still conducting a successful 2020 season.
  • Update on Pending Legal Details:
    • Former Clippers Baseball Club President Adam Henderson was sentenced on 9/15/20 to 5 years of supervisory probation and ordered to repay the Club the entire amount of $38,000 owed.
